
JAKARTA – The Indonesian Academy of Sciences (AIPI), in collaboration with the French Académie des Sciences, has officially opened the call for applications for the Franco-Indonesian Scientific Prize 2026. This prestigious award is designed to recognize and foster excellence in scientific collaboration between Indonesian and French researchers.
Strengthening International Scientific Partnerships
The prize aims to acknowledge outstanding joint research projects that contribute significantly to the global body of knowledge. It serves as a catalyst for strengthening strategic ties between the scientific communities of both nations, emphasizing the importance of cross-border innovation.
Key Highlights of the Program:
- Prize Value: A grant of €18,000 (approx. IDR 300+ million) intended to support the continuity and further development of the research collaboration.
- Eligibility: Open to all scientific disciplines, including Science, Technology, Engineering, Medicine, and the Humanities.
- Core Criteria: Innovation, scientific impact, and the potential for a sustainable, long-term partnership between the two countries.
- Submission Deadline: Applications must be submitted by June 8, 2026.
General Requirements
- The application must be submitted jointly by a pair of researchers (one based in Indonesia and one based in France).
