As part of the DIPI 2026 Music Recital programme, Dana Ilmu Pengetahuan Indonesia (DIPI) announced the six recipients of the 2026 Small Research Grant (SRG DIPI 2026). The announcement highlights DIPI’s continued commitment to supporting research and creating opportunities for Indonesian researchers to advance scientific ideas with the potential to contribute to knowledge and society.
For the 2026 programme, DIPI received 668 research proposals, reflecting strong interest from Indonesia’s research community, particularly early-career researchers, in securing funding to develop their research. DIPI extends its appreciation to all applicants for their participation, dedication, and commitment to advancing knowledge through research.
The six selected recipients represent a range of research areas, including biomedicine and therapeutic development, molecular forensic analysis, microbiological research on colorectal cancer, environmental pollution, and vaccine development. Their projects demonstrate the diversity of research ideas being pursued in Indonesia and the potential for scientific inquiry to address challenges in health, the environment, and other areas of public importance.

DIPI congratulates all six grant recipients on their selection. This achievement is expected to mark an important step in their research journeys and to encourage further scientific discoveries, innovation, and collaboration. The funding is intended to help researchers strengthen their research capacity, develop their methodologies, and generate scientific evidence that can support the advancement of knowledge and contribute to addressing pressing challenges.
DIPI also extends its sincere thanks to everyone who submitted a proposal. While six recipients are listed in the available grantee document, the submission of 668 proposals demonstrates the vitality of Indonesia’s research community. DIPI hopes this enthusiasm will continue to grow, particularly among early-career researchers, and that more promising research ideas will be developed into high-quality studies with meaningful benefits for Indonesia.
