Background
ENTROPY Research is dedicated to enhancing the role of ISLAMIC PHILANTHROPY in mitigating the economic impacts of Covid-19. This research initiative is generously funded by the Lembaga Pengelola Dana Pendidikan (LPDP) and the Dana Ilmu Pengetahuan Indonesia (DIPI) and is scheduled to span from 2021 to 2023. The research is spearheaded by Prof. Mahfud, Ph.D, a distinguished academic in the field of accounting within the Faculty of Economics and Business at Universitas Gadjah Mada.
Our Projects
The first year of this research endeavor has yielded two significant outputs:
1. SAWUT (2021) – Cash Waqf Accounting System
SAWUT (Sistem Akuntansi Wakaf Uang Tunai) is an additional output from the first year of research in 2021. Its primary goal is to facilitate the accounting reporting process for cash waqf, aligning with the PSAK 112 accounting standards.
2. TAMAM ZISWAF (2021) – Zakat, Infaq, Shodaqoh, and Waqf Data Repository
TAMAM ZISWAF serves as the primary output of the research’s inaugural year in 2021. This system is designed to store data related to the receipt and distribution of benefits from zakat, infaq, shodaqoh, and waqf. This data repository proves invaluable for the analysis and development of zakat, infaq, shodaqoh, and waqf practices, contributing to their continuous improvement.
3. SAWUT-EDU (2022) – Educational Resource for Waqf Accounting
SAWUT-EDU is an additional output planned for the first year of research in 2022. It is designed as an educational resource, particularly for accounting students, offering an engaging platform for learning about waqf accounting.
4. SAMAWI – Integration of SAWUT and TAMAMZISWAF
Scheduled for the second year of research in 2022, SAMAWI aims to combine the two previously mentioned systems, SAWUT and TAMAM ZISWAF, into a unified platform, offering an integrated solution for the efficient management and accounting of Islamic philanthropic activities.
